Andy Warhol
Triple Elvis
Artist Bio: The photographer I chose to do my project on is Andy Warhol
Education: Andy had a hard time in elementary school even after he got chorea. This disease caused him to miss a lot of school because he was in bed. Also from having chorea he had pink blotches on his face and all of the kid mad fun of him. High school is when Warhol took up art ion school and out of school at Carnegie Museum. He was a very quiet kid in school and always carried around his sketchbook with him. Soon Andy graduated from high school and than went to Carnegie Institute of Technology whitch he than graduated from in 1949.
Upbringing: Warhol was born on august 6th 1928 in Forest City, Pennsylvania. His mother Julia and father Ondrej were both from Slovakia. His father was a construction worker. Soon they moved to Pittsburgh, PA when Andy was a teen.
Art Experience: Andy showed a talent for art at a very early age studying commercial art at the school of fine arts. In the 50s he started working with fine art. He also made films.
Artistic Background: Andy Warhol’s life was all about art and had been into art since he was a young kid after taking lessons at Carnegie Museum. As his life went on andy started to study more and more types of art and he was most famous for pop art with 4 photos all in different colors.
My artist was into Film, drawing, and painting than in between was when he took photos to crate some of his pieces of art. Nothing inspired Warhol to become an artist but he picked up the talent aft drawing when he was in bed due to chorea when he was in elementary school. Most of his artwork was not meaning but it was created with so many colors that caught everyone’s attention and it was mainly his pop art.
The image I selected was Triple Elvis. This photo was crated with Elvis holding a gun but it was three of the same image next to each other. I chose this image because I thought It would be a cool image to recreate and when I saw this photo it made me think of my dad because he loves Elvis. My photographers style is very poppy and has a lot of colors that’s why is artwork is called pop art from the colors that makes the image stand out. Most of his photos are recreated with color and paint. What I find most interesting about his artwork is the vibrant colors in the pictures. To recreate this image I will dress my friend as best as possible to look like Elvis in the photo and have him holding a gun. Than I will triple the photo on Photoshop and align them how they are in the original photo.

Aperture and Shutter Speed
Aperture is the amount of light that is let into the camera and shutter speed is the amount of time it takes for you shutter to open and close. When the camera is a low shutter speed your allowing more light into the camera. On my camera (Nikon D90) there are setting for the camera called Mode A (Aperture priority auto) which chooses your exposure when you press down on the shutter release button halfway and than gives you the job to change the aperture to where you want it to be by rotating the sub dial. For Shutter Speed it's called Mode S (Shutter-Priority Auto). This mode you choose the shutter speed while the camera automatically selects the aperture that will produce the optimal exposure.

This Photo is taken by a photographer I know(Ronaldo Stewart). this photo caught my attention by the depth of continuous lights on the ceiling of the parking garage. I love the neutral tone of the photo and the feeling of how alone the car is parked. I would love to recreate this effect because aside of very colorful photos i love dark and neutral photos too. I discovered this photo on Flickr.

This photo caught my attention from all of the colors from the external lights in the room and the color of the headphones and hat. I also this photo because it feels like you're there in the moment of the shot and I have always wanted to recreate a shot like this and shooting photos on the dj stand or on stage with a band. I found the photo on flickr.
